1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at stjamesparlour.com ("the Website") and the engagement of event hosting services provided by St James Parlour Ltd ("St James Parlour", "we", "us" or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales.

By accessing this Website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website or engage our services.

2. Use of the Website

The Website is provided for information purposes in connection with our event hosting services. You agree not to:

• Use the Website for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or its underlying systems
• Reproduce, copy or distribute any content from the Website without our prior written consent
• Use automated tools to scrape, collect or extract data from the Website

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Website at any time without notice.

3. Service Enquiries and Proposals

Submitting an event enquiry through our contact form constitutes a request for information only and does not create a binding contract. A contract for services is formed only upon both parties signing a written service agreement and receipt of the agreed deposit payment.

All proposals provided by St James Parlour are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Pricing is subject to change until a formal booking is confirmed.

4. Booking, Deposit and Payment

To confirm a booking, clients are required to:

• Sign and return the service agreement
• Pay the non-refundable booking deposit as specified in the service agreement

The remaining balance is due as specified in the service agreement. Failure to pay the final balance by the agreed date may result in cancellation of the booking at our discretion.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Cancellation terms are as follows:

• Cancellation more than 12 weeks before the event: deposit forfeited; no further charges
• Cancellation 8 to 12 weeks before the event: 50% of the total contract value due
• Cancellation fewer than 8 weeks before the event: 100% of the total contract value due

Rescheduling requests made more than 8 weeks before the original event date will be accommodated subject to availability without penalty. Rescheduling requests made fewer than 8 weeks before the original event date are treated as cancellations under the terms above.

6. Client Responsibilities

The client is responsible for:

• Ensuring sufficient and appropriate venue access is available at the agreed set-up time
• Providing accurate event details, including final guest count, no later than one week before the event
• Ensuring that the venue holds all necessary licences and permissions for the event
• The conduct and behaviour of guests attending the event
• Any damage caused to our equipment by guests

7. Our Responsibilities

We will:

• Provide the agreed services to the standard described in the service agreement
• Arrive at the agreed set-up time with all necessary equipment
• Provide appropriately trained and presented hosting staff
• Operate in a professional manner at all times

In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfil a booking due to circumstances beyond our control, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer either a rescheduled date or a full refund of any monies paid.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website — including text, images, design elements, branding and layout — is the property of St James Parlour Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No content may be reproduced, adapted or distributed without our prior written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, St James Parlour's liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the total amount paid by the client under the relevant service agreement. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or incidental losses.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or from the use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
